Biography
Mercy Oceans was formed in the summer of 2003. The members of this band all hail from the West Midlands area. They came together because of a common interest in producing music that reflected the everyday concerns of individuals in the 21st Century. Their diverse backgrounds bring together a hypnotic fusion of sufi soul/new age music with a hint of mysticism, which is guaranteed to spiritually uplift your soul.
More then ever people are seeking answers to the perenial questions of lifes vissisitudes and meaning. The solution Mercy Oceans provides can be considered lively, vibrant and therapeutic. Mercy oceans have performed at various venues across the UK & europe, including the famous annual Sufi Soul Festival in Germany. All the songs in Mercy Oceans repertoire are originals.

| Nisha is Mercy Oceans lead singer. Nisha originally joined Mercy Oceans as tea lady. Whilst undertaking her arduous catering duties she was asked one day to try a song. She was volunteered as lead singer, which was great as they now had a singer who would also ensure the band were fed and watered! |

Her day job involves
working as an IT Trainer, as well as being Robin's wife, secretary, cook and chief bottle-washer. |

| Robin is Mercy Oceans songwriter extraordinaire, guitarist and vocalist. Robin previously played percussion in a Birmingham based group known as Aashiq al Rasul. Robin works in I.T. His excellent IT skills have enabled him to produce and master all of Mercy Oceans songs. |

He's a tough producer though - he keeps a set of pliers on his mixing desk and submits Nisha's thumbs to them if he feels she isn't singing high enough! |

Emma was a lone singer song writer who had dabbled in bands for a few years.
A chance meeting with Robin led her to take herself and her 'daisy rock' guitar

| Abdul |

| Abdul Hamed is Mercy Oceans drummer and plays the Djembe (African drum) and backing vocalist. Abdul was previously a vocalist and also played percussion with the Birmingham based internationally re-nowned group Aashiq al Rasul and had the opportunity of recording with his hero Yusuf formerly Cat Stevens. |

| Abduls sense of Rhythm and unique style of drumming produces a beautiful blend of jazzy Latin, North American and Eastern beats. When he's not banging his drum for Mercy Oceans (and annoying his neighbours), he wishes to meditate.

| Marcus |

| Marcus is Mercy Oceans ace keyboard player. Marcus's musical background includes playing in gospel settings. As well as the keyboard, he can also play the drums. Marcus works in the IT industry. Like Robin, he's put his technology skills to good use and has used computers in music being produced by the band. |

| Marcus is a global jet-setter: his wife is an international air stewardess who assures us he has adjusted admirably to the stressful task of holidaying in such exotic destinations as the Bahamas and Mauritius!
